Woman in the mirror is writing history

Woman in the mirror is writing history

Let’s honor the women who shaped us.

The bold ones.
The quiet ones.
The teachers. The healers. The steady hands. The truth-tellers.

Some are known to the world.
Most are known only to our hearts.

The women in the graphic I created? You wouldn’t recognize their names. They aren’t famous.

But they are legendary in my life.

They modeled resilience when life was hard.
They showed compassion when I doubted myself.
They demonstrated courage in ways that changed me forever.

And today, I want you to honor one more woman.

The one in your mirror.

You.

March is Women’s History Month — and this year, I invite you to celebrate Your HERStory.

Not the polished version.
Not the résumé version.
Not the “I’m fine” version.

The real one.

You may not think of yourself as influential. You may feel like you’re just “doing what needs to be done.”

Answering emails.
Leading meetings.
Driving carpools.
Holding space.
Managing the invisible load no one writes awards about.

But someone in your life is stronger because of you.
Someone is braver because you showed up.
Someone feels seen because you listened.

That is leadership.
That is legacy.
That is history being written in real time.

I know what it feels like to question your own story.

I was a small-town Midwest girl with big dreams and louder doubts. I was told writing wasn’t practical. That it would be smarter to choose something safe.

So I did.

And yet… I kept writing.

In newsletters.
In volunteer roles.
And always — in my journal.

My journal became the place where I could hear myself.
Where I could sort through fear and find truth.
Where I learned to trust the whisper of my soul over the noise of expectation.

When my brother died suddenly, I was asked to write his eulogy. Through tears and laughter, I told the story only I could tell. In that sacred moment, I understood something profound:

Stories carry healing.
Stories create connection.
Stories outlive us.

After my second breast cancer diagnosis, I returned to my journal again. Those private reflections became my memoir. What felt like pain became purpose.

Every dream I’ve lived began as ink on a page.

And here’s what I know beyond doubt:

Your story contains wisdom earned through living.
Your experiences hold medicine someone else is praying for.
Your voice is needed — not perfected — but true.

You may never see your name in bright lights.
You may never trend on social media.

But your story matters because it is yours.

No one else has lived it from your heart.
No one else can tell it from your knowing.

That is sacred responsibility. And sacred opportunity.

If the story you are living right now feels incomplete…
If there’s a chapter you haven’t fully claimed…
If something inside you whispers, “There’s more…”

Listen.

That whisper is your Soul Story calling.

This is why I do what I do.

Through retreats, collaboration books like Written in Her Own Words – Wise Woman Wisdom, workshops, and Soul Story Activation Sessions, I walk alongside women as they uncover the story that wants to be told now.

Not the story shaped by fear.
Not the story edited by self-doubt.
Not the story silenced by “Who do you think you are?”

The story that sets you free.

This Women’s History Month, don’t just applaud the women in textbooks.

Become the woman who claims her own narrative.

If you feel the stirring — even a tiny one — let’s explore it together.

I invite you to schedule a complimentary Soul Story Conversation with me. In our time together, we’ll uncover:

• The story rising within you
• The myths that may be keeping you quiet
• The message your lived experience is ready to carry into the world

You do not have to do this alone.

Your HERStory is unfolding whether you claim it or not.

The question is:
Will you own it?

✨ If you’re ready to explore your Soul Story, schedule your conversation at: https://maryeknippel.com/contact

I believe in the power of your voice.
I believe in the wisdom of your life.
And I believe the world is better when women tell the truth about who they are.

Celebrate HerStory.

Celebrate yourself.

And when you’re ready — let’s tell your story.
