The Foundation of Who You Are

The Foundation of Who You Are

October 01, 2026•2 min read

Your Soul Story Is the Foundation of Who You Are

You are so much more than what you do

How do you introduce yourself?

Chances are you begin with what you do.

Your profession.

Your business.

Your family role.

Your accomplishments.

Those things are certainly part of you.

But they are not the whole of you.

Beneath what you do is the woman your life experiences have shaped you to become.

That's where your Soul Story lives.

Beyond the Résumé

A résumé can tell someone where you've worked.

It can't tell them what you learned when a dream didn't unfold the way you expected.

A biography can list your accomplishments.

It can't fully capture the courage it took to begin again.

A title may explain what you do today.

It doesn't reveal the experiences that gave you the compassion, intuition, wisdom, and perspective you bring to that work.

Your Soul Story gives context to all of it.

It is the foundation beneath the visible version of your life.

Owning Your Story

Discovering your Soul Story begins with awareness.

Owning it requires something more.

It asks you to look at your experiences without minimizing them.

To stop saying:

"It wasn't that important."

"Other people have been through much more."

"Who would care about my story?"

Owning your story means acknowledging:

This is what I lived. This is what I learned. This is part of who I am.

You don't have to share every chapter.

You don't have to explain yourself to anyone.

Owning your story begins privately—with you.

Try This

Complete this sentence in your journal:

Because of what I've lived, I now know...

Keep writing.

Don't edit.

Don't censor.

Allow your own wisdom to surprise you.

What appears on the page may be the beginning of a message you've carried for years without realizing it.

Discover What Your Story Has Been Teaching You

On October 15, I invite you to join me for a free interactive experience:

The Story Beneath Your Story

We'll explore how your experiences become wisdom, how that wisdom shapes your voice, and how you can begin owning the story beneath who you are.

You don't need to consider yourself a writer.

You don't need to know what your story is.

That's why we're beginning the journey.
