Pause a moment

As 2025 comes to a close, I’m less focused on what was accomplished and more aware of what softened, opened, and asked to be honored. This was a year of listening. A year of remembering that our Soul Story doesn’t arrive fully formed — it reveals itself in whispers, in the body, in the moments that insist on being felt before they can be written.

Writing is a way home.

Again and again, I witnessed women give themselves permission to tell the truth of their lives — not perfectly, but honestly. Writing shifted from something we do to something we enter. A sanctuary where silence loosened its grip and compassion replaced self-judgment.

This year gently dismantled the myths that keep us quiet: I’m not a writer. My story doesn’t matter. Someone else has already told it. What emerged instead was a deeper truth — every woman carries wisdom shaped by lived experience, and when she claims it, something powerful unfolds.

Compassion became the heartbeat of 2025. Compassion for the woman we were when we were surviving. Compassion for the chapters that still ache. We stopped asking why we weren’t stronger and began asking what our experiences came to teach us. In that shift, stories transformed into meaning.

As we step into 2026, the invitation is not to reinvent ourselves, but to write forward with tenderness and truth. A compassionate Soul Story asks us to slow down, listen deeply, and trust what rises.
