Be Relevant & Timely - Writing Wisdom

Writing Wisdom:  Share content that is timely & relevant…for yourself and your readers! Every month, even daily designations, calls attention to another Universal topics which you can use as a starting point to connect with your readers. Tap into these subjects and share a story that highlights your life experiences and how you gained skills through that experience and/or the manner you coped with them has shaped you into the person you are today.

For example, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. You could create relevant and timely content by referencing a statistic that 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. Perhaps share a story about someone in your life who has been diagnosed or promote a fundraiser taking place to aide in the cause of finding a cure. If you have a personal history of breast cancer, you could mention the circumstances surrounding your diagnosis and what has happened to you since your diagnosis.

As for me, I am keenly aware of breast cancer 365 days a year since my first diagnosis in 2001. My third diagnosis was in 2022 and I am a Breast Cancer Thriver! It’s relevant and timely for me to share my breast cancer story with my readers. It is also my WHY. It's why I know I can't wait one minute llonger to live my life to the fullest. That means speaking up for myself and for anyone within ear shot that they have a story worth sharing. It's why I’m adamant you have a soul story the world needs to hear.

When I share my story, it offers hope to others. The same is true for you. When you share your story, it not only offers hope to others, it demonstrates what is possible for them.
