Testimonials

"Mary connects heart to heart, soul to soul with women that have a story burning in them. She helps them unmute their voice so that their words are infused with their passion and the confidence flows through them to share their story.” L.Garris

"I had never considered myself a writer, however Mary has taught me we all have a story to tell. Her Writing Room is a safe place for me to go write for an hour every Tuesday. She helps us to relax and hear our inner voice and to get it on the page. I highly recommend that you check out Mary, especially because we all have a story to tell. When will you start yours?" Tina P.

"I hired Mary to write an article for me which was going to be in Coastviews Magazine. It was a beautiful article and is still linked on my website. Later she wrote my press release when I moved my business. When the need arises I will hire her again." - Antoinette

Effective Communication

Let’s Talk About the Story You’re Not Telling

It’s Effective Communications Month—So Let's Talk About the Story You're Not Telling

Effective Communication

Let me ask you something: what story are you not telling?

You know the one. The story that lingers quietly in the back of your mind, tugging at your heart. The one that keeps nudging you, whispering, “Tell me.” It’s the story you carry with you every day—the one about the situation you lived through, the cause that keeps you awake at night, the truth that shaped you.

You feel it, don’t you? That deep desire to share what matters most to you—your truth, your purpose, your voice. And yet, you hesitate.

Maybe you're afraid it’s not the right time. Or you’re unsure where to start. Maybe you wonder, “Who would even want to hear this?” Or, “What if I share it, and they don’t understand?” Worse yet, “What if they judge me?”

If any of that sounds familiar, I want you to know: you are not alone.

I know how it feels—because I’ve been there. I’ve stood at the edge of that same precipice, looking out at the wide unknown, questioning whether to leap and speak up or to stay silent just a little longer. I’ve felt the tug-of-war between the desire to be seen and the fear of being exposed. I’ve asked myself, “Will they accept me once I share the truth? Will they understand the path I’ve walked?”

There is so much vulnerability in opening up. It takes guts to stand in your story, especially when the world makes it so easy to shrink. Sometimes it feels safer to back down, to smooth over the edges of our experiences so we don’t ruffle feathers. Sometimes we tell ourselves it’s not the right time, or that it’s too late—or maybe even that we’re not enough.

But what if none of that is true?

What if the moment you’ve been waiting for isn’t in the distant future, but right now?

What if this month—Effective Communications Month—is your invitation to do something bold and life-changing?

What if this is your moment to finally tell the story that’s been living inside you all along?

Let me tell you what I believe: You were never meant to carry your truth alone. Your voice matters. Your story matters. The journey you’ve taken, the lessons you’ve learned, the pain you’ve overcome—it all matters.

And not only does it matter, but someone, somewhere, is waiting to hear it.

That’s the beauty of communication when it’s authentic and heart-centered. It’s not just about saying the right words; it’s about allowing your whole self to be seen. When you speak your truth, you make space for others to do the same. When you own your story, you give permission to someone else to step into theirs.

And that’s how healing happens. That’s how movements start. That’s how change becomes possible.

Yes, it’s scary. Yes, it takes courage. And yes, it’s worth every trembling step.

Because here’s what I know: when you speak up for what matters most to you, you come home to yourself in a whole new way. You stop running. You stop hiding. You stop performing for a world that only knows the curated version of you because your life is not a performance. And instead, you begin to live—fully, boldly, unapologetically. You begin to share the story from your Soul.

You don’t have to figure it out alone. I promise you that.

One of the greatest gifts I’ve received in my own journey has been community—being surrounded by women who see me, hear me, and hold space for me to tell the whole story, not just the edited highlights. And now, I have the honor of offering that same space to others.

For years, I’ve been honing my skills, learning how to share my story, and guiding others to do the same. My own experiences, along with the wisdom of gifted coaches, mentors, colleagues, and especially my clients—my greatest teachers—have shaped how I show up today.

And let me tell you: nothing compares to the power of a woman who knows her story and speaks it with conviction. Nothing compares to watching someone reclaim their voice after years of silence. Nothing compares to witnessing that moment when a woman realizes, “I am not what happened to me—I am the author of what comes next.”

So let me ask you again: what story are you not telling?

Isn’t it time to share it?

Not someday. Not when everything is perfect. Not after you’ve “figured it all out.” But now. Today. Because your story doesn’t have to be polished to be powerful. It just has to be true.

And if you’re wondering where to begin, I’ve got a suggestion for you.

Join us for the “Not Backing Down Anymore!” Master Class on Wednesday, June 11 at 2:30 p.m. Pacific. This class is designed especially for women like you—women who are ready to practice effective communication, starting with themselves. Women who are tired of hiding. Women who are ready to make peace with their past, find their voice, and change their lives.

In this Master Class, we’ll talk about what it means to communicate from a place of courage. We’ll explore how to tell the story that’s been living inside you—and how to do it in a way that brings you freedom and joy.

Because that’s what this is all about, really. Rewriting your story. Claiming your joy. Living your truth.

So, if you’re done playing small…

If you’re done second-guessing yourself…

If you’re done waiting for permission…

Then this is your invitation.

Your voice is powerful. Your story is sacred. And your time is now.

Grab your seat today. Let’s rewrite your story—together.
