Women’s History Month: Rewriting Your Story & Owning the Truth of Your Soul
March invites us into reflection.
Into renewal.
Into remembrance.
During Women’s History Month, we celebrate the courageous women who changed the world—not because their lives were easy, but because they chose to rise, again and again, and reclaim their stories.
And this year, I want to invite you into something even more personal.
Not just to celebrate women’s history…
…but to rewrite your own.
Your Story Is Still Being Written
So often, we think of our life story as something that has already been decided.
We tell ourselves:
“That’s just how it happened.”
“That’s who I’ve always been.”
“It’s too late to change.”
But here is a truth I have come to know, not just intellectually—but deeply, personally:
Your story is not finished.
And you have the power to rewrite the meaning of every chapter.
My Wake-Up Call: The Moment I Could No Longer Ignore My Soul
There was a time in my life when I was moving forward…
doing what needed to be done…
checking the boxes…
…but not fully listening.
It wasn’t until my second breast cancer diagnosis that everything changed.
That moment became my wake-up call.
Not because it was easy.
Not because I would have ever chosen it.
But because it stopped me long enough to ask:
What truly matters?
What am I here to express?
What parts of my story have I been keeping hidden… even from myself?
And perhaps the most important question of all:
Am I living my story… or am I ready to rewrite it?
Rewriting the Story: From Surviving to Thriving
That diagnosis could have remained a story of fear.
Of limitation.
Of “why me?”
And yes, those emotions were real.
But something deeper began to emerge.
I realized that while I could not change what had happened…
I could choose how I held it.
How I understood it.
How I allowed it to shape me.
And that is where rewriting begins.
Not by erasing the past—
but by reclaiming its meaning.
What It Means to Rewrite Your Soul Story
Rewriting your story doesn’t mean pretending things didn’t happen.
It means...
Seeing your experiences through the lens of wisdom
Allowing compassion to replace harsh self-judgment
Recognizing your strength in moments you once called “broken”
Choosing a new narrative that honors who you are becoming
When you rewrite your Soul Story, you shift from:
“This happened to me” → to → “This shaped me.”
“I was powerless” → to → “I found strength I didn’t know I had.”
“My story is heavy” → to → “My story holds meaning and medicine.”
And that shift…
changes everything.
Owning Your Story Is an Act of Leadership
The women we celebrate this month did not wait for permission.
They claimed their truth.
They reframed their experiences.
They spoke anyway.
And in doing so, they gave others permission to rise.
When you own and rewrite your Soul Story, you are doing the same.
You are saying:
My voice matters
My life holds meaning
My story is worth being seen
This is not just personal healing.
This is collective transformation.
Your Life as Legacy—Right Now
Women’s History Month reminds us of our legacy.
But legacy is not something you leave behind someday.
It is something you are creating—right now.
Every time you:
Reflect instead of suppress
Write instead of silence yourself
Share instead of hide
…you are shaping the legacy of your life.
Your story becomes a bridge—
between who you were, who you are, and who you are becoming.
A Gentle Invitation to Rewrite Your Story
What if this month wasn’t just about honoring the past…
…but about reclaiming your present?
Take a breath.
Place your hand on your heart.
And ask yourself:
What part of my story is asking to be seen differently?
Where am I ready to release an old narrative?
What truth is ready to be written in its place?
You don’t have to rewrite everything at once.
You simply have to begin.
You Are the Author Now
Your life has handed you moments you did not choose.
But your soul…
Your soul holds the pen now.
And from this place forward, you get to decide:
What this means.
How this shapes you.
What comes next.
A Loving Call to Action
If you feel something stirring within you…
If you sense that your story is ready to be reclaimed, rewritten, and expressed…
I invite you to take the next step.
Let’s explore your Soul Story together.
In a Soul Story Activation Session, we’ll gently uncover the wisdom of your experiences and begin shaping the story that is waiting to be told.
Closing Reflection
This Women’s History Month…
Celebrate the women who came before you.
Honor the woman you are today.
And most importantly…
Give yourself permission to rewrite the story you will carry forward.
Because your Soul Story is not just something you’ve lived.
It is something you are still becoming.
